2025 HIA SA Kitchen of the year

In 2025, this project was celebrated across multiple HIA award categories, taking out South Australian Kitchen of the Year and Renovated Kitchen Over $85,000. Its craftsmanship and innovation also helped Artisan Joinery secure the title of South Australian Cabinet Maker of the Year.

The colour palette and material selections — including the striking stone veining, refined timber tones and unique pop-out detailing — create depth and visual interest. With a spacious and practical butler’s pantry and a seamless balance of style and function, this kitchen demonstrates exceptional design sensitivity and craftsmanship."

"A thoughtfully designed kitchen that combines creativity, warmth and functionality. Judges praised the clever use of mixed materials, with contrasting benchtops that complement each other beautifully and a timber surround that adds refinement to the laminate finish. The blue cabinetry injects personality and depth, while the island bench, featuring feature legs and a furniture-like presence, anchors the space with elegance. Ample storage, well-executed stonework and carefully considered lighting contribute to a cohesive and inviting design that balances practicality with visual appeal."

2023 HIA kitchen $45,000 - $65,000

In 2023, Artisan Joinery was proud to receive the New Kitchen $45,000 – $65,000 award at the prestigious HIA South Australian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, in collaboration with Klemm Homes.

"To adequately explain architect Alan Cooper's design intention, perhaps the best examples are found in the living area and kitchen space. It is where the light tones of natural timber and marble in the floor and furniture are positioned side by side with the dark joinery to encapsulate class and elegance."

2022 HIA Cabinet Maker of the Year

"This clever and complex use of material in the kitchen is delightful. This is a high-functioning space for a chef’s kitchen that is highly practical with ease of movement between spaces that is visually stunning. the kitchen with its dark and moody feel, pushes the boundaries with experimenting with its bold and dramatic colour scheme. The contrast of the dark, back joinery and Dekton Fossil used on either side of the kitchen as the benchtop and splashback, allows the Carrera marble island bench to stand out. The use of these dark tones allows the space to ooze with class and sophistication."
